Lake Eyre, also known as Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre, not only is the largest salt lake in Australia (world’s 13th largest lake), but also contains the lowest natural point of the continent (15.2 metres below sea level). Lake Eyre is located 647 km north east of Adelaide, in South Australia.
